As part of creating the site mohawkenergy.ca, I developed the visual identity, print materials, agenda, event website for the Smart Grid Technologies Symposium held in Fall 2013. The Symposium brought together industry, academia, students and professionals to discuss the future of energy and the challenges of powering the future.
Campaign Stats:
This was an old assignment. I spent a bit too much time on this, but I didn’t know any better – I learned a lot, especially about the importance of a plan from the get-go, how it’s not always good to achieve all effects in one program, and et cetera. Everything is 3d modeled, and all the lighting and effects were completed in 3ds Max. I later went and animated the gondola cars.
Mohawk Energy is a research division of iDeaWORKS focused on smart grid and energy technologies.
I was approached to create a website for them to showcase their work. This was a fun and challenging project due to the time frame. We needed to have the site up and running before their newly annual event, The Smart Grid Technologies Symposium, (which I was also the lead graphics and photographer for), occurred.

This was the first iteration of the Mohawk app developed in 2011(?). I did the UI and background. The college has since migrated to a newer version, but I think the Library department is still using it…
I think a lot of folks have a fear of someone stealing their ideas…this was my visualiztion of that idea. I ended up using this drawing as part of a promotion for a lecture on Intellectual Property by Gowlings LLP. I also used this idea as the basis for my animation Bright Idea.
AppsForHealth is a health care, education and technology conference hosted at Mohawk College since 2011. 2014 will be AppsForHealth’s fourth year.
I am proud to have been involved with AppsForHealth since it’s beginning, where I started as a co-op student designing the logo stethoscope and a promo video. I am now currently the lead web developer, graphics, video, and design director for AppsForHealth. Please visit my AppsForHealth Marketing Campaign page to read more about my work on AppsForHealth.

I developed the original UI and icons used in the mobile medication reminder application (Android), SmartMed, developed by Leo and Jerad Godreault. I also developed their promo materials they used to showcase their app at national and regional health conferences. They even won first place at the National eHealth Conference held in BC. The UI has since changed, but the icons are still going strong!
